Seems pointless
In tandem with the 4 tendencies theory, this app is useless for obligers or rebels. The app was mentioned/recommended in the book, but it’s just a glorified planner. I mean it’s pretty inside, but unless you’re an upholder, it seems like it’s pointless.
Has potential but massively unuseful
For example…The reading challenge is a fun idea, with a flaw. There’s no way to post-date an entry or edit an entry, so if you miss recording a day then you’re out of luck. I’m not going to set another reminder to pick up my phone daily to record something in yet another app. I know I read daily and that’s enough for me.

Of the content I was able to see, I think I’d really like the app, but it keeps freezing. I’ve restarted my phone, have quit and reopened the app, and uninstalled/reinstalled it. The frustration of getting stuck on a screen and not being able to get back to the home page caused me to choose other ways to track my habits.
Can’t get past inputting my name
Would’ve liked to try this app. Can’t get past the “What would you like us to call you?” screen when first opening the app. iPhone 13. Tried removing and redownloading. Clicking the “App support” link in the App Store just takes me to a web page that advertises the app with links to download it.

I remember having this app the last time I had an iPhone (10+ years ago) and thought it was a brilliant idea. Was SO excited to download it again.

Notifications do not work on IPhone
Paid $79 for annual subscription on 12/29 and still unable to get functionality to work on IPhone. Tech support unable to help acknowledging this has been an issue.
Subscription function not working
I was excited to try this out. But though I paid for a subscription, “Happier” hasn’t recognized the subscription and won’t let me access the subscriber functions. It’s frustrating.
Something went wrong
I have never been able to log in to it. I get the message, “Something went wrong”

It’s not compelling enough to use regularly and there is no calendar so you can’t enter anything for past days or see your progress as you start to develop a habit.
Charged immediately when I started a trial
I signed up for a three-month free trial and my credit card was immediately charged the $80 annual fee plus tax.
On top of that, there is no way to edit a goal. I was hoping this would be a great app to check off each day of doing certain things, but it is not designed well for that. There’s no calendar feature and no way to retroactively check off a day if you forgot even if you accomplished your goal.
I really wanted to like this app - and would be willing to pay. But between the unethical charging my card when it said it wouldn’t and the functionality, I can’t fall in love with it.
Also, I expect a lot more for $80 a year.

Help!
Downloaded this app on the 28th of December. Signed up for free 3 month trial. It took my information and says on my apple subscriptions that I’m good through the 28th of March. But when I try to sign in on the app it takes me to the screen to sign up again for a free trial …which then says I’m already subscribed. Then says “something’s wrong” … Help. I’d love to try this app but I’m frustrated because I can’t even log in.
2 months free but charged instead
I still want to like this app, but I signed up for the free 2 months that were advertised only to get notification of a $7.99 charge for this month. :(
Doesn’t work to evaluate
I can’t get past the subscription page, where I was charged for the subscription for the month despite the fact 2 free months is prominently displayed. Please fix.
Login issues
I really want to use this app as I’m a huge GR fan. For the past 2 weeks I’ve been unable to get past the login page. It only lets me select my subscription, but then stops me moving on because I already have a subscription. I’ve reloaded and no luck. Ugh, very bummed.
Payment Processing issues make app unusable
Like Dawn I created an account and subscribed. The app repeatedly makes me log in and takes me to a subscription page. Apple shows me as subscribed, and I am, when I look at my apple account. But the app isn’t recognizing it for some reason and won’t go past the subscription page. So it’s useless to me. I guess if you fix it I’ll take a look again, but considering I’m not the first person to raise this issue I feel like the product isn’t very well supported and I’m not optimistic about it.
Broken
Can’t get past subscribe page. Clearly it’s been broken for over a week. Terrible customer service that it hasn’t been fixed yet.
App stuck on subscription
I registered, put in my code and now I’m stuck in a loop of the app asking me to subscribe over and over again and I can’t get out.

I got the app as soon as it launched… read through everything. Yesterday, after journaling about my vital 9 I was ready to set an aim. The app needed updating and since then for the first time asked for login information and subscription. Which is fine. However. I can’t get past the subscription page. It says I have subscribed and my phone subscriptions confirmed that went through, BUT I can’t move past that screen. I get an error message just saying, “something went wrong”.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice and tried all of the normal trouble shooting I know how to do on my end. Nothing works and I can’t get into the app at all.
Please fix.

Server/login issues
I was excited to start this app, as I’m a fan of The Happiness Project. I set up an account and subscription the first day. The second day, I logged on, it asked me to subscribe again. I did it and it said I had a subscription. There was a pop up that said if I had issues to delete and reload the app. I did that. Same thing. Deleted and reloaded again, this time canceling the subscription. It let me subscribe, but not move past the log on page. I’m so frustrated. I wanted to report the issue, but it keeps saying my purchase is still processing. After several days, I’ve given up. I’m so disappointed!

I’d really like to get started working within the app, and know more about how to combat my tendency. However it will not allow me past the subscription page. Apple shows that I have an active subscription; however an error message pops up when I try to proceed. Very frustrating!
Updated app 12/2021 doesn’t work
I tried to subscribe but the app doesn’t provide the cost for a monthly subscription or yearly and won’t let me submit. So frustrating!

Can't find code see you've updated app. On Iphone se. IOS 15.1. Downloaded app. The only code I saw was Get20. Didn't work couldn't see all of the message at top of page. Is there another way to sign up? I am not the only one with this problem. Check better app Gretchen and reply to us. Thanks or is it case sensitive?

This seems like a major design oversight.

I would love to see the rest or to even track my progress with the 25 in 25 challenge but all I can access is the Obliger description.
Nice but overpriced
Its a very simple app with techniques that any fan of Gretchen Rubin’s will be familiar with and love. I keep getting “request time out” almost daily when accessing aims (despite software updates and logging out/logging in) so it’s very glitchy. Also, if you forget to log a day for don’t break the chain you cannot retroactively add it to tick that day’s box and continue your streak-thats frustrating for marking your progress! I think its really just too expensive as a result and for what it is. I am not sure how or why they decided to price it as high as it is. I doubt I will continue using it after this year. A shame, because I love Gretchen Rubin’s books and podcast and I know she invests a lot of time and energy into her work and what she puts out.

Not quite there
Okay, so I LOVE Gretchen Rubin- her podcast, books, her ideas and strategies. This app, as is, is definitely not something I would pay for though. There’s just not enough to it. If you’re a Gretchen fan, there’s nothing really new. The habit tracking tools would need to be much more technical for this to be a paid app. Maybe people who don’t know her work so well would feel differently, but the app needs more substance.
With the update it stopped working
Tried immediately. Really liked it. Then updated. No longer worked. So I’ve stopped using. Certainly wouldn’t pay for it.

Tried it briefly when newly launched, then deleted. Needs more content. Certainly not robust enough for a paid app as I understand it is now.

Disappointed
I really wanted to love this app as I’ve been a big fan of Gretchen’s for many years. It is beautiful but ultimately too rigid to be useful. It’s impossible to edit aims or go back and check things off if you forgot. The tracker doesn’t show dates so seems too vague. Not worth the expense.
For the price I expect more
I expect more for the price. I have other wellness apps that deliver more content for easily half the price. If you follow Gretchen, read her books this content isn’t anything new. Unless there are significant changes I won’t be continuing after free trial,
Difficult to access
I’ve been having problems logging in. Even though my login works, the app doesn’t let me proceed past the first screen, so I cannot actually use the features. The screen only allows 1 configuration and does not tilt or shift if the device is flipped. I have a hard time using it on my iPad. Thanks
App won’t register my free trial / subscription so stuck at paywall
I got a free trial - which requires a credit card and for me to remember to cancel - but then even tho it showed up as a subscription in my account settings I could never get past that screen in the App after my first visit. Each time I log in it tells me I need a free trial / subscription. So no idea how the app is since I can’t actually get to it.
App is not working
The app will not allow me to get past the subscription page. I have subscribed but then it tells me it’s an error. I tried re-installing the app, even opening under another email. Nothing works.
Huge disappointment since I wanted to have my aims ready by January 1. I have reached out for help but not heard back.

App has potential, but so many bugs!
I enjoyed this app the first day I used it. However, I am now prompted to both sign in and choose a paid subscription option even though I already signed up for the free trial. I also noticed that the “don’t break the chain” feature didn’t seem to be tied to calendar days, so I couldn’t edit or add info from previous days. So close! I was looking forward to using this, and I think it has a lot of potential. When it worked, it was beautiful and fun to use. I hope the team can work out the kinks.
