Either their system is broken or her account was compromised-but instead of investigating, they shut her down and refused to provide real evidence.

The servers crash intermittently , the speed is slow and the app isn’t updating. A complete waste of time and money.

I can’t get 90% of my apps to load and when they do load, I get errors that stop me from getting the information that I need, thus making me disable the VPN connection altogether, you get what you pay for.

When connected nothing will load including its own pages. I’m on iPad. On my Mac book it’s ok at best.

I originally purchased an IPVanish subscription before deploying in 2023. When I returned, I cancelled the subscription through the app and assumed it was taken care of. To my surprise, I later discovered I had been charged for nearly three years after that. I went back and cancelled again through the app, only to be charged for another additional month because apparently the cancellation also required confirmation through an email link. That process wasn’t clear at all during cancellation. Requiring an extra confirmation step through email after cancelling in the app feels misleading and honestly shady. Just be careful and make sure you fully verify the cancellation process or you may continue getting billed.

I installed the app, I got a pop before I even login offering a free trial and when o selected the free trial it charged my account. There is not even an option for contacting customer care. It’s a scam.

Shady Cancellation Practice
The VPN itself was okay, but the cancellation process is extremely frustrating and feels intentionally obstructive.
The “cancel subscription” button on their website did nothing, and the contact support button also failed to work. I was only able to reach support by modifying my subscription first and using a link from the confirmation email.
Once connected, support pushed retention offers and delayed cancellation. Ultimately, I had to revoke PayPal’s automatic payment authorization entirely just to ensure I wouldn’t be charged again.
Needing to cancel billing externally because a company’s own cancellation system doesn’t function is not acceptable. This experience alone is why I would not recommend the service.

I downloaded this while traveling back in October. It didn’t work for my needs, so I canceled it. Loan behold, the monthly charge continues to appear on my credit card. And they don’t make it easy for you to cancel. Do not download this app.

After downloading I was immediately badgered with subscription offers. I saw a 7 day free trial and decided to try it out. Spoiler, not a free trial. Took out the yearly subscription amount of $89 plus tax and then when I contacted apple support, they refused to give me a refund. I had to go to my bank. Moral of the story? Don’t waste your time.

Worst VPN I’ve ever had
6 months in and I’m furious about how terrible this service is.
I’ve been running VPNs for over 15 years and this is without a doubt the only one that I constantly must disconnect for pages to load.
I used PIA & loved it but their prices basically doubled so I went to Surfshark & their prices also went up. After years of each I looked to switch again and went with this- yet barely 6 months in & I’ve had it.
I can record a page refusing to load, disconnect this service & by the time i return to the page it’s loaded & it happens again and again- it’s CLEARLY the service. So I dive into the settings and am using their optimal recommendations yet still constantly have issues with connecting. Ironically the service worked well the first morning month but now it’s multiple times a day that I have to disconnect to get pages to load. Buyer beware- use another service as this is without a doubt the worst service VPN I’ve used in the over 15 years I’ve been running a VPN. I feel like they should refund me if I can show them the constant problems I have with this. It’s pathetic and it just happened yet again so I’m laying it out here. Choose elsewhere and choose wisely, this is TERRIBLE.
Edit- IM BACK WITH SURFSHARK & this garbage service is in the rear view!! Nothing works with this, total waste of time, money & frustration over their garbage!! BUH BYEEEEE! Wanted to try free trial. Canceled to avoid further billing immediately tho it says it will remain in effect until the 7 days. It is not.

They will take your money and say you didn’t sign up with an email. But you cannot sign up with an email unless you go onto the computer and do so separately. Then they delete your account for asking about it and you are out a hundred bucks and no VPN.

Make it more understandable how the vpn works, choosing places or cities, ie why choose a specific place or another or does it matter. And why won’t it load unless I turn my phone off and back on or not load while other things are open?!?

Constant disconnections with no warnings, takes forever to login and even longer to refresh server list and yet even longer to connect. Might be worth checking other VPNs after years and years of ipvanish
Reliability
IPVanish seems to stop working without any warning if it is used on the Amazon Firestick. The help desk at IPVanish was helpful and recommended using a beta version of VPN Security Dot. I installed it, and it too works intermittently. The VPN has no way of letting you know if it is offline and defeats the purpose of purchasing a VPN in the first place. Note, this only true when using the IPVanish on the Android and sometimes on the iOS platforms

I have to turn on app to keep it functioning as advertised. The app does not protect location when you go and check that it is not on.

If you travel and use vanish at different locations, you have to jump into hoops and create a new password upon signing on. Then supply replies the following day.this is something I can’t not use. Then force you to has access to what you are doing or will not let you reconnect… seriously! Leaving this scription ASAP
