Real Cute
They are real cute about cancelling subscription. Be aware.
Expensive Subscription
$79.99 per year with no monthly option is too high.
Scammy ads
The app is nice, though missing some useful features. But one of the ads I was shown was a scammy ad that said my phone was infected with a virus from visiting adult websites. I don’t do business with scummy companies, so I had to remove this app.
Loser not lose it

What Happened?
Once, a perfect app. Sigh. - 2026
Stop Updating your Interface
Your users aren’t trying to learn a new app every 2-3 months. This is ridiculous. Stop making it more difficult. Stop changing the interface.
Hassle
Done with MFP and looking at alternatives. Wanted to try this, after forcing me through the longest onboarding Q&A ever, asked me if I wanted a trial and was so frustrated by that point I was just random clicking. Now it won’t let me do a trial. So I guess I’ll never know if this is a good alternative, on to the next one.
Pay to use
Crazy how this app evolved from 6 years to now- I used barcodes to scan and now it costs money
Disappointed.
I'm leaving one star because recently Lose It! Has started advertising GLP-1 medication, and started very frequent nags for Lifetime despite me owning a yearly license. Nothing screams "We want to help you lose weight!" like advertising a shortcut to a vulnerable audience, and "We're not grateful for your purchase" like nagging me every day when I already pay for the app.
Big waste of time.
Go through all of the setting up the profile and creating an account for it to then require a yearly subscription. Such a joke. Wasted my time entering in all of my personal info only for them to sell it, with no benefit for me.
Bare minimum
If you’re gonna make a calorie counting app. Consider first having all the basic workouts in your data base. Chin ups, wall sits, tricep dips. It hard to do the bare minimum
Premium functions used to be free…
Ads are terrible. Macros and such used to be tracked for free iirc. Scanning used to be free.
It’s a far cry from what it was and you can find better apps that do the same things…for free.
Will be switching as I decide between the two free apps that don’t paywall anything, and let me scan in my food while avoiding MULTIPLE ads for just logging my meals.
You got greedy, Lose It.

Annoying
The only thing I can think of that could be more annoying than a pop up ad after you enter each food item just because I won’t pay for features I don’t need is that now the ads don’t even load, you just get the spinning icon forever. Workaround is swipe out and get back in after every entry.
Nose dive!
This was an amazing app until they moved all the features behind a paywall, and not just a paywall, a monthly subscription. I’m ditching it after years of using it.
Concern!
Very concerned with TEMU ads that show up if do not have subscription. Ads always show little girls (block of 4 pics)suggestively posed and dressed. I reported it twice to Loose It organization and to a monitoring company. The ads are unsettling. They must drop Temu. I really like the ease of calorie counting in the app, but because of ads, I’m searching for new app.
Terrible updates
I’m so sick of these so-called updates. I’ve been using this app for over ten years and they have just ruined it. Put the dang plus button back. It’s suck a hassle adding food by having to scroll around this slow UI. My workouts are now broken too. When I try to add a workout I did from the previous day, it’s just zeros on calories burned in the summary. Then I have to manually enter the time and distance when I run or do anything. It’s very annoying. These developers are terrible and so are the managers who keep pushing this terrible changes. Test your dang code before you release it and listen to your customers.
Fan until April 2026
I’ve used the app for more than 10 years and was pleased until an update was done in April 2026. This update is NOT user friendly - logging now takes a minimum of 2-3 times longer than before the update. A system that was effortless to stay consistent is a ridiculous time drain. Not happy, nit even content
App will freeze while trying to add meals.
I used to love this app but it freezes up almost every day now. Very frustrating because it never used to do that. Have to close and reopen once if not more. May have to find another app that is more user friendly.
Paid yet still getting ads, ui worsened
New update got rid of the option to permanently hide the “gonift” ad. (reason for one star)
Made the second most used feature weight logging way more annoying to access.

Stop making useless changes
Where is my PINK theme? Stop making useless unnecessary changes when I’m a PREMIUM member.
Took away personalization
Why the hell did you guys take away our themes?! Why am I now stuck staring at a bright orange background with your app??? I’m deleting it!
DISAPPOINTED!!! Greedy Changes
I’ve been using this app consistently since 2023. I took a break for a couple months from calorie tracking as I was only maintaining my weight but I would continue to update my weight in app. However, I recently opened the app back up for calorie tracking purposes only to discover that several features that I heavily relied on are suddenly placed behind a paywall. I’m really frustrated with this outcome as a college student who always struggled to manage my health as well as the stress of being a student. The app was the only thing that made it easy by allowing me to scan barcodes of food items I’ve purchased as well as view my overall macros for the day. I understand that the app needs to make money but there are various premium features that made sense to pay extra for previously and this did not need to be taken away from loyal users. Now, the bare essentials for the app are inaccessible and I’m incredibly disappointed. I dislike any app that makes the free tier nearly useless. I’m hoping for this to be reversed but it is highly unlikely. The yearly rate for this membership is 80 dollars which is incredibly ridiculous and greedy. Although there is currently a sale I don’t see these “updates” as reasonable personally. I understand this may be worth it for some people but as someone who felt blindsided by the switch I don’t know how to justify a purchase like this. I’ve fortunately seen other people agree with me. Do better.
Don’t get this app
This looked like a good app, but when I downloaded it instead of the $40 advertised, it set up as premium for $79, no way to change. I tried taking a picture of my lunch for it to calculate, my grilled chicken and corn and cucumber salad was correct, but it added a potato???? No way to remove it. I tried to cancel since I don’t think it’s worth the price, and every time I tried to make a change, it wanted me to chance my password. After 5 tries I sent e-mail, response was instructions on how to cancel, I followed instructions and got a response telling me how to cancel. This is like the Hotel California; you can check in but they won’t let you leave.
Ads killed this app for me
I used this app for many years and at times I did pay for the extra services . I need to save a few bucks so I didn’t renew it and it has harassed me at every click for 9.99 and made it hard to use . So you guys win I give up and have deleted it sorry you need the money so bad it made it unusable for me.
New update bad
Under the new update I cannot add my daily workouts. I go to the screen and add the information, but the check mark never becomes operational.
Lag
I’ve used this before it became an app. It lags so incredibly bad now it’s frustrating. I’m going to be looking into other apps.
Usability worse
Every iteration is worse lately. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get my walk calories calculated correctly. Hate the new designs. The white on white look just sucks. It was so much easier & better organized pre-iOS 26. It’s horrible now!

It is a great program and it would be five stars if they laid off on the constant advertising for their lifetime subscription. I’m perfectly fine with my yearly. I hope the developers do something about this. It’s very annoying because you have to click on it to dismiss it before you do anything. Thanks!
Don’t use the free trial!!!!
I was charged a day early, and it physically was impossible for me to cancel. It wanted me to cancel it via my settings but it didn’t even show up there so I physically can’t cancel. My bank account is in the red now, and I’ve been trying to cancel it for days. I don’t even have this kind of money, I was hoping the free trial would give me insight on if I should spend the money when I have it. I can’t even eat this week
Money hungry
Used to be a good app and useful for tracking calories and nutrition, now you’re bombarded with ads and nonsense, and even the basic features it had are all locked behind paywalls and subscriptions. Can’t even scan food anymore without paying
Frustrated with update!
I have loved this app for years and years, but recently updates cause it to freeze, include seemingly unnecessary changes and it has become much less user friendly.
App resets after extended periods.
I want to use the app to establish a meal plan, not necessarily to track daily intakes. Frankly, it’s GREAT for that! It tracks macros well, I love being able to create recipes, and the catalog of foods and barcode scanner are super convenient!
However, because I use it so infrequently (every other month or so to tweak my meal plan) I often come back to the app and it *forces* me to go through the initial plan establishment process. This is super frustrating when all I want to do is modify my meal plan.
Please allow for disabling this function. Thank you.

New update buggy and lagging
Love this app have used it for years. The latest update has made the app buggy, ugly and not intuitive. I feel devs do updates just to justify their jobs
Constantly changes the food metrics even for foods you eat regularly
The app constantly changes the measurements for the foods I scan in without warning. For example, the bread I eat regularly originally scanned as "calories per slice." The package even gives the serving as "one slice." A couple of weeks later "slice" was gone as an option, with only "ounces" or "grams" available. This is ridiculous, and it happens all the time. Just tonight I went into enter something that I always measure in "cups" to find it had been replaced by "ounces" and "grams." The package gives sevings in cups.
It would be a whole lot easier if the developers would just use the portion on the product label; it's tiresome having to convert or get out a scale to weigh a slice of bread. Give me a break!

Good with one big exception
I’ve been using this for a few months. It’s nice and easy to log. But literally every time I open the app they have this pop up for me to subscribe for the lifetime model. This kind of marketing is annoying. I canceled my subscription and stopped using it because of this constant inundation of upgrading. Super lame.
Too many ads
It used to be great for basic calorie counting, knowing that you need to subscribe to get more. Now the ads come in the middle of use when logging and it’s too disruptive. Not worth it for a free app anymore. There are probably better free apps to use without the intrusive ads.
