Screwed up my gateway
This app totally screwed up my phone gateway!! I could not get into my bank account! It took me nearly an hour to get this fixed with ATT!! Your products VPN messed with my phone! I want a refund!!! I am deleting this app and will tell everyone I know not to use it EVER!!!!!

Shut down my access to the internet
I downloaded this and within a couple of hours I had no internet connection at all. Neither WiFi nor cellular data worked. And even the Houston Server I was connected to via the Makwarebytes app said “potentially compromised”
More than an hour on the phone with Tmobile customer service got it cleared up but what a pain in the butt.

I didn’t not want this subscription, when I tried to delete it, it would not let me, then you charged my account for a subscription I didn’t know I had and would not give me a refund! Not even fair in my book!
Trick
They trick people into signing up, then won’t refund your money. I’m 75 years old and they said it was trial and you can stop anytime. They lied.

Session expired error message
I get a Session Expired error message immediately when I try to sign up. I purchased Malwarebytes AND Identity Theft options snd cannot sign up! I cleared cache, changed browsers, uninstalled and reinstalled app, did a hard reset, turned off all VPNs, and I still get the error message on my iPhone 13.
iOS is up to date as well.

I do not like this app because it appears I have to know what to do, usually in most cases I do, but in this case I do not, so cancel immediately .

I find it difficult if not impossible, to return from one possible check to another - going back because I do not need the specific type of protection offered on a particular block. Is this to keep me locked into the process and hopefully sign me up cost? It makes me leery.

I signed up to learn where my privacy was vulnerable and what to do about it. I assumed that Malwarebytes would take care of things.
I quickly learned that it only identified areas of vulnerability and for an additional cost (almost $12/month) that it would take care of the all important next step.

Intrusive
Difficult and requires you to trust this software with virtually all of your most sensitive data. That is too big of an ask.
Have to manually report each fraudulent call.
They tell you it will stop spam and spoof calls. But you still get them and have to manually report them one by one. That doesn’t help with the spammers that have rolling phone number generators and call you from a different number each time. They also tell you to use the “spam blocking setting,” but the minute you turn it in, it tells you “Not recommended” because it will possibly block legitimate calls from unknown numbers (like your doctor’s office!) all in all, my paid mobile version is useless. I still get 6 calls a day wanting me to clear up my (non-existent) tax debt and to approve a huge business load that I didn’t apply for. I’m shopping for something else.
