It’s a scam app
I paid for a subscription 2 different times and I couldn’t restore or get what I purchased. Contacted Apple both times and I was given only a partial refund. So I ended up paying for 2 months worth of full service (both purchases were 1yr subscriptions) for nothing.
Over charging
McAfee purports to protect my devices, such my PC. However, after a scan, it will identify numerous items for viruses, bad code (affecting performance), and the like. But, if you want to address these issues to give you peace of mind and/or to improve your device’s performance, they want to extract more money from you to do these tasks.
Why the hell do have the app then?? It’s like having a home intrusion alarm system, but if it goes off you have to pay extra to call the police. Total ripoff.

On my i6 SE this app drinks my battery like there is no tomorrow. I can literally watch it go down.

App not working working
I got this app and immediately found it’s not working. It says there’s security threats and where the threats are but doesn’t tell how to activate cleaning/blocking. So, I cancelled account but it’s not acknowledging that so I can close it out. I want it closed and my money back. Even the app online assistance is not working correctly.

Buyer Beware
The app doesn’t do anything effective, aside from block airline WiFi and automatically create “McAfee Alert” folders in your email. Once you activate the VPN, there is no way to deactivate it, short of deleting the app. I am starting to believe McAfee creates the problems they claim to solve.

I am so sorry I contacted this company on many levels. I have tried to talk to a real person. I looked up the reviews I am not going to have anything to do with this company, based on the reviews.

Не знаю может быть на MacBook оно и работает корректно но на iPhone это просто хлам полный!

When I first got it I tried signing up but it shows no button to sign up. Wouldn’t recommend if you need extra protection
Double speak
On the app on my iPad it wants a subscription code that supposedly in ‘my account’. Nope all I can do is send a link that doesn’t work on the iPad. Why isn’t there a line in ‘my account’ saying subscription code? Why can’t I just log in to my account on my iPad? Why isn’t there a search option in the app? I hate apps as they seldom contain what is needed kind of like the stupid ai stuff available today.
Decent service but sneaky price increase
Paid $85 for service last year. This year they were going to charge $199 plus taxes while I was on auto renewal. I went to deactivate my membership and auto renewal. I was offered to renew it at $119 if I just kept my membership. Auto renewal is supposed to be the cheapest option automatically. Greedy company. Cancelled my subscription.
Doesn’t work
When I choose APP from home screen, it prompts me to continue. When I touch “continue”, nothing happens. I can touch multiple times, still nothing happens.
Has a tendency to corrupt links
It may alert on a valid site. If you click visit anyway it usually does not make it to the site but says server can’t be found. Turn off the feature and you can get to the site. What good is visit anyway when it fails?

Chromebooks and iPhones Beware
Bought this not knowing it would basically incapacitate our iPhones. I checked before buying the McAfee to be sure it was compatible with our Chromebooks and it said it was. Nope! I tried everything, still nope! I’m frazzled from trying, and I’ve already moved on to ‘regrouping mode’. Thanks for the memories. 😵💫
Not a fan
I had this vpn/antivirus for 3 years. Within the three years of having it, it’s been nothing but problems. It’s expensive and has a lot of flaws. I switch to nord vpn and it’s been nothing but great. I’d recommend something other than this.

Someone has been sending text messages to get on my phone !! I took a screenshot and it’s been removed from my photos… so someone is on my phone . Feeling safe, not knowing if I’m secured

Clarification Needed
The app alerts you when there’s a security breach. When you follow the link it doesn’t show you how to address the breach asking only if you’ve handled the breach.
