Wanted to cancel subscription because it was being offered from another provider, the first person I talked to said they could partially reimburse my money, and when transferred to another station, they said that the reimbursement was not possible on a technicality, that my membership starts on the day I paid and not when it actually expires.
Still waiting on a call back from a manager.
And to top it all, my company’s website and email server got hacked,
And still no response from them.

This is important for those of us who are trying to access local streaming in another city. My family and I are scattered across different southern States, where we receive Hurricanes, Tornadoes, and etc. Some local streaming services, restrict access when your connection is outside of the designated region.
Hopefully, you’ll add U.S. city-level server selection to your VPN on iPadOS and iOS soon, so I can subscribe.

Still getting a lot of Junk emails and scam messages
I turned on Text Scam detector a Few months ago but it never work. I have still getting that fishing scam text but I have to delete manually because Mcafee didn’t do anything? Now I am wondering all this year am I protected from spam, Malware, identity Monitoring, Safe browsing, VPN, Social media, identity restoration, Even after I found 14 data breaches I called Mcafee Customer Service and she said click address button to address it, that’s it. Does click the address button tell you that my identity is restored? One of the websites that has my data I can’t even address it. There is no option for that instead they said change your Password. Which is I will be more in danger.

Update:- even junk e-mail tripled after Mcafee email protection. When I search Why am still getting Mcafee result said even with Mcafee protection you still may receive Junk emails. You may still get Scam messages scammers use various tactic to bypass security measures. Really? That’s what you should do protect from scammers who try to bypass security.

I will no longer buy any of yours or Norton products again cause of this. I have the advanced membership so everything should be covered. I notice you put getting rid of trackers for $40 and a few other stuff when the plan should have covered that in the first place. I stoped Norton because of this now it’s u. This isn’t good business
Impossible to set up
I’m setting up my account on my iPad & iPhone. App will not accept my physical address so I cannot proceed. Setting up on iPhone requires subscription code, to be found on in my welcome email or in my account. Got no welcome email & it’s not in my account. Also won’t accept my secondary email address. No way to contact McAfee in the app. Completely stuck with no help in sight.
Cannot remove an email without reconnecting it first; no control over notifications within the app.
This app is overall a great tool for protecting devices, but it gives you too many notifications for things you may not want or straight up cannot control.
I gave McAfee access to an email I no longer have access to, yet it still gives me notifications to reconnect this email. I cannot remove it because the option doesn’t appear for an email that isn’t connected to this app, regardless of whether I still have access to it or not. If this would be fixed I would happily change my review.

App not working working
I got this app and immediately found it’s not working. It says there’s security threats and where the threats are but doesn’t tell how to activate cleaning/blocking. So, I cancelled account but it’s not acknowledging that so I can close it out. I want it closed and my money back. Even the app online assistance is not working correctly.
Update; the money has been returned but the app is still not acknowledging that I cancelled subscription. I want to close account but unable to until it is acknowledged that the subscription is canceled.

Over charging
McAfee purports to protect my devices, such as my PC. However, after a scan, it will identify numerous items for viruses, bad code (affecting performance), and the like. But, if you want to address these issues to give you peace of mind and/or to improve your device’s performance, they want to extract more money above and beyond your yearly $149 price to do these tasks.
Why the hell do have the app then?? It’s like having a home intrusion alarm system, but if it goes off you have to pay extra to call the police. Or your house is in blazes and the alarm goes off! Do you want us to come and put the fire out? That’ll cost ya, sir. Cash or check?

I paid for the monthly subscription. As soon as I pay now the app will only freeze when I open it. I had something happen to my iPad so I get this garbage app and pay for the subscription and then 30 seconds later now the app won’t work. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!

I paid for a subscription 2 different times and I couldn’t restore or get what I purchased. Contacted Apple both times and I was given only a partial refund. So I ended up paying for 2 months worth of full service (both purchases were 1yr subscriptions) for nothing.

Buyer Beware
The app doesn’t do anything effective, aside from block airline WiFi and automatically create “McAfee Alert” folders in your email. Once you activate the VPN, there is no way to deactivate it, short of deleting the app. I am starting to believe McAfee creates the problems they claim to solve.
