Fix the keyboard function on the iPhone app!
Crashes too often
The app crashes too often. It does not catch up to the speed of writing. There is no trashcan or recently deleted documents tab to recover documents. Unable to move images around the page without disrupting the whole document. It takes multiple clicks to show the flashing line and sometimes it does show but does not type what I am typing. Highlighting text is horrible and sometimes erases a whole sentence when Only trying to erase one word. It is so frustrating.

It is my first time getting this mad in 5 years from literally nothing working from iPad.

Blocks use at worst possible time
I simply try to open a word doc and get blocked by a labyrinth of robot challenges and demands to set new keys and passwords. Stupid!!
Terrible app
I don’t know why Microsoft word for iPad is so bad but it’s practically unusable. Can’t even highlight text, constantly freezing, and not even close to the functionality of a computer.
This app sucks
I had some notes written down for an important exam just for it to be deleted, I have the available online option . Never use this app again
Keyboard not showing since latest update
For the last several weeks, I’ve been unable to work from my phone due to an issue with the keyboard not showing up when editing. I’ve been through all troubleshooting methods, and nothing has worked. It’s clearly a bug with the latest update that has yet to be fixed. Very frustrating when this is something I pay for annually.
Disappearing Fonts?
Functionality is decent, but the buttonology has definitely changed for the worse. Additionally, shortly after a fresh install, many of the installed fonts (such as Times New Roman) disappear, requiring a complete uninstall/reinstall to use them again.
Cumbersome
I have to sign in almost every time I open up this app. I have it installed on my phone, iPad, MacBook, and work computer and I almost have to sign into it each time.

Just cancelled my subscription. Microsoft has become such trash. They will not get my business again.

Unusable since last update
Please undo this update. We cannot edit docs and there’s no keyboard. I’ve used MS Office for decades and work as a general counsel. Every update this app gets worse, to the point where others at my company ask if there’s an internal saboteur at Microsoft, because it’s inconceivable how a product can regress this way. We pay for subscriptions, have new iPhones and iPads, but this app doesn’t function as a word processor. Either it won’t open or if it does, the keyboard is gone so you can’t edit. It’s the worst software on iOS by far. If Microsoft lacks internal expertise to make a functional Word app for iOS, outsource it. It can’t get any worse than nonfunctional.
It makes Microsoft look incredibly incompetent to be pitching us additional cloud services and send our company a contract-but we can’t even read or redline it because the software you sell as your core product doesn’t work. If you don’t maintain what you already sold us why would we add new products? Other Cloud and Workspace apps providers at least function.

AUTO SAVE DOESNT WORK
So frustrating to have lost hours of work because the auto save function is not reliable. Don’t trust it!!! Has happened more than once.
It got worse
The keyboard wasn’t popping up with the new update, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It permanently deleted all files in the automatically created Word folder. Lost thousands of hours of work that I saved directly to my phone after a cloud issue occurred.
Stop
All the unnecessary bs that you are adding is for the most part just making things more complicated.

Word
Too many passwords, forced to constantly change them, inability to turn them off. This destroys productivity. MS tech help most often can’t fix issues. The seem to be under a stop watch, so they rush through without fixing the problem and sometimes making them worse.
Needs An Update
Huge bug! Will NOT SAVE MY DOCUMENTS! I PAY MONEY FOR YOUR APP, PLEASE ENSURE IT WILL FUNCTION AS IT SHOULD.
Downgrades since the upgrades
Unusable for a person who has an ancient PC. Much better on Notes or edit with a different program. Why am I paying a month monthly subscription for something so useless? Microsoft must be in bed with Apple because customer service and satisfaction has gone down.

Keyboard disappears and won't show up. i’ve closed out the app, restarted my phone and uninstalled Word and reinstalled it and the problem still persist. Makes me wonder why the hell I pay for Microsoft Office.

MS has forgotten that we simply want apps that work. I'm switching to Google Docs. I don't need Copilot popping up every time I hit the keyboard. I don't need MY files being "automatically" saved to OneDrive.

1990s experience in a 2026 wrapper
Word is the same experience now as it was in 1990 just wrapped in a 2026 package. It’s buggy, fussy, and overly forceful about using OneDrive. The extortion these days is just palpable.
Use the regular Word
I hate this app with a passion. If you’re just using it on your computer, it’s fine. However, good luck on printing because for some reason, it will adjust your writing so it will print weird. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve had to spend fiddling with indent and spaces because it will not save with my work cited on its own page. It will not let you upload or sometimes even email yourself your documents. So many times I was not able to turn in an assignment because I was not able to upload from. The app. You think with all this technology apps like this wouldn’t have such stupid issues. Not good for students we have to deal with enough stress already.

Subscriptions is bad
Subscriptions for Netflix is reasonable since. Movies are always updated it’s always been like this from the inception of cable. We’ve always paid a monthly subscription for shows.
Putting a subscription on something we use occasionally, and updated maybe once a year is stupid. I used to love word because you just purchased one time, and you could basically use it forever.. it got me through school and saved a lot of money. So, subscriptions on programs like these suck and only a money generating scheme… thank you!

Not Intuitive anymore
I can’t change line spacing and everything is pre-formatted. I used to love Word. I can even use it now

I’ve been trying to write a paper for a while now using the APA template, so far nothing I edit saves. I don’t understand why there are templates to use that won’t save changes because I can’t turn in a template.

Word has less value with Copilot
I never asked to have Copilot automatically added to the Microsoft Word app for iOS and I hate it! I’m hesitant to use the app because there is no way to disable Copilot. I hope Microsoft will add a switch in a future update to disable Copilot. Meanwhile, I will limit my interaction with this app.
Disappointed
This is an extremely glitchy app, and often delete some of my work. Although the voice mode is helpful, this is not a good app overall. I would give us four stars f they fix bugs. When I’m using the voice mode and click on a different part of the paragraph glitches.
