The VPN in this product is horribly unstable on iPad. It drops frequently, doesn’t reconnect despite being configured to automatically connect, and doesn’t even bother to let you know it disconnected. The VPN icon in the status bar remains after it drops giving you a false sense of security, so you have to constantly check the actual app to see if it’s still connected. All of this is despite always running the latest version of the app and iPadOS. Uninstalling, restarting the device, and then reinstalling doesn’t help. Support is a waste of time. They’ll tell you it disconnects when the internet connection drops, but it consistently drops on a very solid internet connection and also doesn’t explain why it doesn’t automatically reconnect. This wouldn’t be good for a free product, and what’s worse they actually charge you. Keep looking. Find a stable and reliable VPN. This isn’t one.

Its Nagware
Like all Norton, and most other antivirus outfits, they constantly nag and push a hard sell to buy more. I found they were so irritating that I’d rather get hacked then have to deal with their constant pestering every day. Annoying popups from them break my flow during work, and I was glad to get rid of them.

It doesn’t work a lot of the time it’s off more than it’s on for some reason it doesn’t wanna stay on and I don’t think I’ll be getting this vpn service again

I purchased Norton 360. Each time I scan my computer, it pops up that something needs to be taken care of, and then it tries charging you for another version of Norton. It seems like I installed one big scam whose job is to sell me their entire line of products!
Misleading options.
I decided to try Norton again after several years. Chose the 360 mobile trial. After installing my phone slowed down significantly to where it was practically unusable. I went to cancel the 7 day trial and saw I was already charged 49.99 for the year. Very disappointed in Norton. It seems like fraud, false advertising.

Difficult to install a new subscription
Purchased a new subscription and the old one stayed disrupting the installation. I had to reinstall, uninstall and still the old copy would stay, disrupting transition. What a pain!
Dropping connections
In the last ~30 days, I’ve had repeated problems with dropping my vpn connection or the inability to connect. There’s a problem that’s not being addressed.

It’s still happening!!! I’m not sure why it’s doing this, never happened before. I’m constantly needing to re-connect to the VPN every time I open this app! It’s very frustrating and upsetting for the amount of money I’m paying for this app!

I am missing important deadlines because I can’t print from any of my subscribed devices. There is no way to call Norton. Their instructions are unclear and complicated. Although I assume that I’m well-protected, it is made it difficult for me to accomplish many tasks. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this situation is infuriating.

I just got a text saying Norton took a payment for my phone and 4 more for a year for 300 & some odd dollars from a previous account I had. I checked the 6.99 a month plan so what’s up???????

I downloaded on both my iPhone and iPad. I purchased the subscription(which includes up to 5 device) on my iPad but I can’t sign in on my phone. A waste of money.
Worst VPN EVER
The VPN function never works to protect unsecured networks. I constantly have to delete the app to use networks especially if flying. Don’t buy it. It’s not worth it.
This GAVE me identity theft and Norton could care less
I bought the 360 and was actively using their identity theft protection. I went to download it on my phone and get the password extension when it said I didn’t have an account. I looked at the app on my computer and a “device “ infiltrated it and was syncing my information. Norton had the nerve to tell me i was on a 7 day trial, there was nothing they could do, do I want to sign up??? Are you kidding me?? It is now on my phone and has stolen all of my pictures going back years and broke into my bank account. I have worked customer service my entire life and will never do business with this horrible company again.
Charged me for a subscription that I never purchased
Had cancelled my subscription in 2022, but then got signed up for a free trial in 2024 that then billed me through iCloud without me knowing, and I couldn’t even log in and access the product. Tried to get a refund through customer service but they kept directing me to Apple.
I had the Norton 360 with LifeLock Ultimate Plus plan and it was an absolute privacy NIGHTMARE!
For years, I’ve complained to Norton about how users in my household with Apple devices, have access to my personal sensitive LifeLock information via the Norton 360 app, due to the type of subscription I had.
Norton didn’t care about this privacy violation and blamed Apple for the way the Norton 360 app is structured on the Apple platform when it comes to sharing the subscription with other Apple users. On Android, Norton allows subscriptions to be shared to household members via “Product Keys”, eliminating the need for Norton account owners to sign into their personal accounts on household members’ devices. This method of redeeming a Norton subscription via a “Product Key”, is not available on Apple devices…according to policies Apple placed, which Norton claims.
If the latter is true, Apple needs to change their policy as this is a privacy violation!
I’ve moved to Bitdefender for the time being, as they have a similar setup to YouTube TV, which allows account owners to add family members via invitation links. The invitation link, allows family members to have access to your Norton subscription via their own account setup and credentials.
I suggest Norton do something similar before something awful happens to customers’ sensitive information, especially if Apple is really to blame for the lack of “Product Keys” being used. There is absolutely no reason why a family member or a roommate should have access to Norton customer’s sensitive LifeLock information in order to use the Norton 360 app for device security!
I’m not planning on returning to Norton anytime soon, until they fix and address this issue.

Free Trial SCAM
I wanted to try this app out and it offered a 7-day free trial and then it would convert to a yearly subscription. If I didn’t like it, I’d cancel it before the 7 days. As soon as I click confirm, I was charged $120 for the yearly subscription. Went to load up the account to see if I could dispute it, but I had no access. I have already contacted Apple for a cancellation/refund since I can’t connect the app account. Then I’ll go dispute with my bank if that doesn’t go through. I better get my money back. I will never give Norton my money ever again!

I have never used this app but they want me to pay 49.99 and they want let me update any of my app they want me to pay it.

nortons 360 with vpn will lock you out of your apple account and i had a hell of time trying to get it back. it would not let me inter my i’d number for verification to prove it’s me . then i deleted the nortons 360 and i’d number worked . don’t waste your money .

Superior security, subpar app
I have been pleased with the security provided by my Norton subscription, but the app takes forever to update - when it does. The latest update on March 22 still hasn’t completed loading, and it is now March 29. Far less proficiency than I expect from a company in the security business.
Not working
I did not want to leave it as a review but I can't find to send a message to the development team about this any other way. The App has not been working for weeks. It takes minutes to open up. Once it is open it immediately freezes you can't click anything in the app without causing even longer freeze time or closing out. I was going to renew since I had Norton for a very long time but with all the app issues which result in me not able to open websites because I can't allow it in the app since the app is not working is making me think, that maybe it's time to say goodby to Norton after almost 20 years. I been checking daily for an update with Bug fixes but unfortunately nothing yet.
VPN is Up and Down
Update: This most recent update is the worst yet. VPN connections are sooo slow now, to the point that I’m forced to disconnect VPN altogether if I want to watch videos, download files, or just browse a website. Even the “Fastest Connection“ option causes YouTube videos to buffer over and over again. Most recently, I’ve noticed that I can’t print to my local printer when I’m connected to VPN. Not sure what’s going on there.
I think I’m done with Norton after this current annual subscription. Too many notifications on the PC and environment and too unstable on the iOS environment.

The VPN cuts out all the time
This is the worst VPN I have ever used. It cuts out all the time with no notification that it went out. My iPad still shows VPN connection even though Norton has disconnected. There are very limited options in terms location. You can only pick the country, not particular states. Norton defaults to one state every time.
When I contacted customer service for a refund, they said no since it was over 60 days. I will basically need to sue them in small claims court to get my money back for a service that doesn’t work.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a VPN that works.

Changing terms mid subscription
I’ve had this for a couple years. Renews September 16th give or take a day. Here we are March 21 and it says my subscription is due for renewal. Well I paid for a year in September. Extremely disappointed in this service and will be cancelling today. Can anyone recommend one that doesn’t change the terms after you pay
Nuisance upselling slows workflow
I purchased the premium version of Norton expecting a premium product without ads, pop ups and other nuisances that slow down my work flow. This intrusive up-selling behavior does not occur at initial install, it waits until Norton will not refund your money. I will NOT renew and seek a replacement with better business ethics and performance.

Quality of the product has degraded.
I have this product for the VPN, and it’s overpriced for what I use it for. It frequently fails to maintain the VPN connection, requiring constant monitoring and manual intervention. I’m likely to look for a new product after this subscription expires.
Also, the Norton app frequently logs me out on multiple devices without any notification, leaving me unprotected.

App is barely functional on iOS
This app is barely functional on iOS. I am usually caught up on iOS levels. The app freezes and quits constantly. Also the Safe Email feature is not reliable at all. I get quite a few scam emails that it doesn’t flag including some that claim to be from Norton. Anything it does flag is fine.
