Horrible. The login system is ancient, settings are complicated. It’s like the developers DON’T WANT YOU TO use their app. You can’t see popular posts unless you pay. You can’t do ANYTHING ON THE APP OR THE WEBSITE that is actually useful unless you give into their corporate greed. I’d genuinely rather be reborn again if it meant pixiv was never introduced to me. TIME WASTED.

went from simple banner ads that didn’t effect user experience much straight to full screen ads with no x to click to get away from it. i’m not wasting 30 seconds of my time for some ad, i’ll just stop using the app and use the website with an ad blocker for safari at this point. also $42 for premium? i was going to consider getting it if it was under $15 for a year but $42 a year for a art website is robbery. hopefully people stop using the app and switch to ad blockers on the webpage instead so they make less money than they did with the banner ads.
edit: now the pop up ads happen after between 1-3 viewed works. this is disgusting. i genuinely hope the app is abandoned and you make less money off ads than you did when you just had banner ads.

Way Too Many Intrusive Ads
One of the worst apps in terms of pop-up ads, and it just gets worse. Any time you try to open TWO images, obnoxious intrusive ads clutter everything you do. These are always horrible mobile games or crypto/gaming scam websites. And the effort to try and exit out of the ad is insane. Do better AND LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS

ai生成图刚出来那会儿上赶着舔ai我都不想喷了，加了整页广告之后没多长时间就从看几条投稿弹一条广告上升到现在每条投稿看完就附带一条广告，等几十秒点好几下才能把广告关掉，吃相是不是有点太难看？

I don’t think I’ve been able to tap more than 5 times on the app with a full length video ad playing. This is not to mention the extraneous banner ads covering often tapped areas. Just disgusting from the creators

The app has borderline become unusable with how frequent they made the (relatively newly added) full screen pop up ads. It’s so bad that I can open the app for less than a minute, open three posts, then an ad pops up and will continue to pop up every few posts interacted with.

Too many ads
Used to be extremely good, with occasional visible ads while scrolling alongside a banner along the bottom, but recently pop-up ads were added and are far, far too frequent. You should be able to use an art app without stopping to watch a long video ad with mere seconds of scrolling in between.

…But this app has been rendered near completely useless without a paid subscription. Video ads used to occur every three viewed pieces, which is already insane, but in the last couple days, that number has dropped to one.
One viewed work or interaction nets you one thirty-second video advertisement that takes up the whole screen. This is completely absurd. I will not be supporting Pixiv in the future.
