I have literally every crucial memory linked to this app, and it is honestly quite upsetting to see that they are charging us for storage. I have used snapchat for about a decade of my life. Im also a college student and due to inflation. Im just a 21 year old trying to make ends meet, and i’m quite frankly annoyed at the fact that this is a new policy.

Great app, terrible management. i got perm device banned a couple months back for simply posting a vape that was in my hand while driving and now ive lost all memories, contact with life long friends and ect. thanks for ruining friendships 😂
Bad update
Since the most recent update it’s horrible when group chats are called it rings every time a new member joins the call . Annoying Also in group chats it does not show an active call like it used to . You have to click on video icon to join call usually in group chats it will show green with an active call Annoying . When in group or individual chats it will not shows the bitmoji at the bottom of the screen anymore please fix this

Horrible
It’s now becoming nothing but a money grab. They want you to pay for your pictures you keep. The snap plus is so unnecessary having to pay for filters and other stuff that used to be completely free. I have had this app for years and i had 15,000 photos and was trying to keep the app so i deleted pictures until i got to 300 and its still “over” the 5GB which is so crazy because my friend has 500 and is fine. It’s completely unbelievable. I will be deleting after getting my last picture off the app!

Weird Videos “For Me”
Snapchat sends notifications saying “Video for Me” and I open it and its a random weird video! And I cannot get rid of the public account page so I have to see all of the weird snapchatters under my friend’s stories.
If you make me pay for extra memory I’m downloading all my memories and I’m uninstalling the app

I actually hate this app now they make you pay for memories and now they just deleted all of my memories I didn’t even get to save the rest of them I had so many from when my dog was a puppy now it’s gone all cause you want people to pay for extra storage this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen I have Snapchat for years why do we have to pay for storage this is wrong to delete peoples photos especially since they have had them for years and I wasn’t even able to save all of my photos cause Snapchat would break and not let me do it this is wrong in so many ways I hope this app has a downfall cause this is so stupid all of that time wasted and I will never get those memories back
Horrible app
If I could leave negative stars I would. I’ve had 2 accounts get banned for genuinely no reason whatsoever. One account I had for 7 years and I’ve lost so many pictures and videos because of it. I am so irritated with this platform. But people can post guns and stuff on their story and it’s apparently fine???? Just seems really unfair and unnecessary. Whole app sucks all around. Don’t recommend whatsoever. And don’t post anything on your story apparently or they will just permanently lock your account.

I've had snapchat for over YEARS & I recently received to full storage/paying for storage notification. I've never had to pay for snapchat and don't ever intend to. Years of precious memories, i'm heartbroken. Snapchat has became the worst social media app !!!!!

Snapchat preys on youth with their notifications and discover page, just filled with pornographic material. Not to mention this is the most useless form of communication. Unlock my account plz
I got permanently locked out of my account even though my account had no violations. I didn’t even post anything. I just got randomly kicked out and told my account was permanently locked, even though nothing was reported. Immediately denied my appeal for no reason won’t tell me what the heck I did. I’ve sent them multiple emails and I keep getting the same automatic response. They’re stupid AI report system sucks. Their support team sucks. They have a bunch of gross inappropriate stuff all over their explore page, but I get banned for literally no reason. I lost contact with some of my online friends that I didn’t think to add on other social medias or grab their phone number because I didn’t think I was gonna get banned for no reason they seriously need to work on helping people with their accounts. This is not the first person I’ve met that’s had this issue. I know numerous people that have had this problem.
Revert Chat Tab
Chat tab changed, now shows the last 7 people, afterwards it shows friends to add. Find friends deserves to stay in the top right with 4 permanent notifications. It’s escaped containment and multiplied, now I have 2 places to find friends and they’re both shoved in my face constantly. Give back the chat tab that’s been working for over a decade with barely any change.

Lost my grandmothers voice.
My grandmother passed away 3 years ago and I had only one video of her talking to me. Snapchat deleted this video and every single picture and video from the 5 years I have had the app completely unexpectedly, without permission. After trying to contact customer service it told me to talk to an ai and the ai said there is nothing I can do. So how can Snapchat just delete thousands of pictures without permission??

I will not pay to have my own pictures on my own phone. i have had this account for years and have like 20,000 memories. i’ve been going through and trying to delete them. snap gets so glitchy and doesn’t even let me delete them. i also think snap should bring back the option to mass unadd users. also very tired of the constant AI slop and borderline pornographic material.

This app is full of AI generated videos, inappropriate ads very bad algorithm. System software issue getting locked out of account for no reason no chance to appeal. Snapchat was cool until about 2021 later than that is absolutely trash. It’s equivalent to a porn when it comes to advertising a bunch of sexual things..

Seriously. Everytime I go to use this thing it does nothing but ragebait me.
Extremely buggy on iOS, crazy ads, painful UX to access some content
Been using snap for 15+ years and I pay for snap+ but recently switched to iOS and it’s SO buggy compared to Android, it glitches out when i check who’s viewed my story and crashes. Also why do you reload the discoveries as i’m looking at them? I’ll see something i want to see, go to click on it and it will disappear and reload a new one right before i do under my thumb. NEVER to be encountered ever again. And when i am able to click on it, i get tons of ads, even with snap+ although they just recently released an overpriced priced option for an ad free tier. Another thing is that if i view a story with 75 snaps and accidentally pass the last one, there is no way i’m seeing that last snap again without clicking through the ENTIRETY OF their massive story. Give me controls to start from the end and go backwards, like a seek control bar that youtube has or something. Stop reloading discoveries and give a more organized ui to see already viewed content and go back without randomizing the discoveries every few seconds it’s super frustrating. Maybe allow arrangement of the stories/discoveries by alphabetical, last viewed, new etc instead of reloading and randomizing every couple seconds

My ex got my account banned intentionally
She stole my phone and posted pictures of marijuana on my public story & when I got it back I couldn’t get into my Snapchat. I thought she deleted it or changed the password but upon checking and finally being able to almost sign into my account, it said my account was permanently banned.

Absolutely hate the Discover and Spotlight part of Snapchat if I wanted to watch videos, I would go to YouTube or Instagram nobody but in influencers and people who are making trash content actually use either one nobody likes it
