RIGGED
The game is totally rigged. I win a match then the next opponent is 200 points lower but a club member or someone who has spent a lot of money. It doesn’t matter what I do then I will lose. Then after that comes someone near my score now I am going to win. I feel sorry for them because it’s fixed.

Kaka player was clearly rushed in development (to meet marketing needs in World Cup). When playing against this player, it teleports! It’s movements are clearly buggy, skips space, and teleports, making it impossible to time shots. He can suddenly teleport and hit balls that have already move past him.
If you spent time and money developing your own player, you will be at a huge disadvantage when playing against players using Kaka.

Horrible
Players who actually pay and buy more stuff are stronger and normal players barely go up levels. Deleted a whole account after high levels and feel better!
A decent game ruined
I’ve been playing this game for almost 3 years with mixed feelings. There were lots of bugs initially but over time most were addressed. However, about a month ago Sports Star decided to “balance” the game play by dialing back the skill sets of my 3 best players making them hobbled. Now it’s difficult to win or score decent league points causing me to be demoted to a lower level league. Now, after the latest update the game has multiple buds, including crashing in the middle of club tournament play! So disappointing.

This game is fun but it’s one big sales pitch. And what works for most of the game stops working when it matters most. Opponents appear to freeze time on what should be a game winning slam. It’s a finger swipe so they can do as they please. After reading other reviews I find I’m right as far as being a fixed game. The slowing down the ball so opponents can reach it is classic. It’s a scam.

If you belong to a club you always win. The game slows the opponents ball down and tries to blame it on data speed or speed, which is not true it’s a scam.

The match finder continues to suck. Who wants to play when consistently paired against someone miles ahead? Where’s the value in losing? And the consistent nagging to pay to play is weak. Build a better competition engine and maybe then a few more folks would toss a coin into this thankless wishing well.

They make it too easy to accidentally purchase items without confirming. So if you touch your screen on accident, it could charge you. Whowouldathought these developers are scammers.

Tournament Matchups Are Horrendous
The matchmaking in tournaments has to be the worst I’ve seen in any game. The card levels of my opponents were so much higher I had ZERO chance of even touching the ball when they hit it. Do better. It’s reasons like this why people quit games; when winning is based on card level and zero skill.

Great game, but my profile only loads on my iPad, it’s tries to load but never does on my iPhone so canceling the subscription.

I had to pay $75 just to start playing this game again because there was a mixup with paying for gems. The app never helped me and I sent 5 emails. I’m exhausted and was -60k and had to buy my way out of it :(

All they want is your money
Game is horrible. You’re mostly playing AI and they already have a system to make you spend money. For example, I’ve played against “people” who’s forehand rating is 54 and mine is 70 and their agility is 50 and mine is 60 and they are still able to generate more power and placement than my character can. There are also times when my opponent should crush me because of their rating, strength and every other ability is 5-10 points higher than mine but I end up shutting them out. And I happen to lose all my rackets and have to buy more rackets when I’m 2-3 points away from finishing a task.
This game makes you just spend and buy. I just got tried of it and deleted it. It’s not fun when you really have minimal control over winning or losing. You’re just part of the program.

This game is pretty fun until….you reach the level where you can’t advance, without spending $. like most games. Personally I don’t spend real money to play a game, seems foolish to me. So play up to that point and delete. Worth the download and time spent? Not really.
Too many bots
This used to be a great game to play. Now there are too many bots playing the game. These bots are predictable and make too many mistakes so you win. It’s not competitive anymore and you are seldomly playing with real players

There’s times you lose because the connection is lost. This happens to both players constantly and it’s to the point everyone knows it’s not lost on either players end, it’s the game server itself.
I won’t pay for this games in app purchases anymore because I’ve lost money by the game losing connection at anytime and the game is forfeited. If we’re not going to get to play with the upgrades we purchased why should we pay? And shouldn’t somebody be looking into this?

Matching Players
It would be really helpful if you would match people of the same strength. It really sucks when you get matched against somebody that’s 25 points better than you on the forehand and agility and just throttles you seven nothing.
It’s alright
The game itself can be fun at times depending on the matchup. But it can be frustrating at times when you match with people that spend money on the app. You can grind on this app as much as you want but it doesn’t matter when you play someone who spends boat loads on upgrades. I grinded on this app and it was fun up until I was forced to play people that are dang near maxed out on upgrades. And you matchup with them again and again and again.

Playing this game for a couple of years now, but I think I’m done. I understand that these games require money for advancement however after spending $80 I feel like I need to invest more and I won’t.

Bad
For starters, it is nothing like it’s typically advertised. The mechanics are not the greatest and probably only 25% of the gameplay is based on skill (I’ll get to why). It’s usually advertised with the normal sets but each match is only 7 points, and the mechanics are nothing like they appear on ads, so instead of gameplay which is advertised as looking like real pro tennis, you’re left with play that isn’t enjoyable at all.
Now for the reason. The character ability is based on cards that are collected. But the reality is the only way to get the ones you need to compete competitively is to pay for them. Therefore the players who pay the most are the players who win. The people who have collected the highest abilities will always win the match, which makes the game not dependent on actual skill, tactics, or competition at all. In theory could you wait it out, collect more coins and painfully upgrade your character to stand a chance. Yes, but it wouldn’t change the lack of competition/skill required for the game, and even then you’re not guaranteed the cards you need. Very rare to have a rally lasting longer than 5 shots with most at about 3.
If you make a shot off the court, the entire court isn’t even in view so you can’t even make your character recover to the middle of the court.
Lastly, with the graphics and set up, the game has great potential to improve this (which is the only reason I have a 2nd star). If these things were changed it could be really a competitive game and I would recommend a career mode to play in tournaments, not just tours against other players.
