First time I played this game everything worked now it is screwed up. You do exactly right and it still doesn’t work.

The taps a controls are off. Along with that, prepare to need help. You will need the horrible and useless clues and you will need to cheat. Not nearly as good as the room.

I was worried by some reviews, but I ended up liking this more than The Room series. Guess I’ll be playing the sequels.

The glove icon never popped up. I walked through 6 different troubleshooting and nothing fixed it. I’m requested a refund and the apple store doesn’t authorize a refund on this game. Contacted Blue Brains themselves and they refuse too. It’s all scamming. Do not buy.

Update: don’t start over. it’s worse than original comment. I give it 0 stars! ------------------------- I’m playing game #1. Love the graphics but this game is so overly flawed. I do what it says and get it correct and it does nothing leaving me stuck having to put more into what I consider a nuisance. I will not be buying any more if these games. Good luck!

The first two minutes I was disappointed

This is being created in the year 2016 not 1995.
If you start this game, you will have to finish it completely on the same device as you started. In my case, I updated my iPad, and when I went to play the game on my new iPad, I had to start completely over which is just unbelievable that they did not think of that as they made the game. I contacted customer service and they said well we didn’t have that ability in 2016, which is absolutely untrue and crazy, many many games that were made in that year were able to transfer to other devices.

LAST UPDATE: THE GAME HAS BEEN DELETED!!! I’m asking Apple for a refund, three days of fighting to control it, now can not finish the game using walk through, no amount of help will cure this game of it’s issues. Blue Brain, reprogram your thinking process. So you didn’t want to wait for “The Room” to make another game, you thought you could do better. Go back to the schematics. Really look at what kind of game you have created. Are all these five star reviews from friends and relations? Wow, those one star reviews are all spot on. Please! This is absolutely the worse game experience I’ve ever suffered through in 20 years on the net. It can’t be played in any normal sense of the word. If you want HOURS and house of swinging randomly all over your screen over and over and over. Have fun. I’m so done with this. I will make sure never to purchase anything from Blue Brain again, I’m suspicious of paid for reviews.
UPDATE: excuse this rambling review, it was written over several days of frustration to the point of tears. What a mess! At one point in this review I highly recommend this game, I no longer stand with that belief. After playing for days, using a You Tube Video to help, the frustration level is through the roof! I also said I would not compare this to The Room. Well I am now doing so, to save anyone from the belief this is going to be that wonderful smooth experience! It behaves entirely different, and not in a good way. I really tried to separate the two for their own merits. A lot of work goes into the creation of these games. The frustration lies with how this game operates. Some things in a scene are barely in view of the player and are extremely hard to navigate too. I flew through The Room games smooth and quickly, though their level of difficulty is a bit harder than these games. What makes this game so difficult and frustrating is the navigation. You have to be extremely precise, as to where the player touches the screen, it will swing all over the screen, completely missing where you so carefully touched. One hint has been stuck for over an hour, even though I completed the task in question. Another weird quirk is while you are trying to figure out a quest, suddenly it just pops into the right position, or suddenly completes with out trying. The puzzle would be pretty simple if the controls worked, but, I literally spent most of the time trying to control the wild swings. This is a bi polar game. The names of things are miss labeled as to what I know them as. So you are looking for something that is not there, or it is called by a name I’m not familiar with. The clues are so far off from what needs to be done. They are zero help. I have played all of “The Room” games. Not here to compare, just saying, that’s what brought me here. The biggest issue, other than navigation is the almost complete blackness in large areas of the game. This game is so dark, dimmed to the point of being uncomfortable to play in some areas of the game, I simply couldn’t see a task to complete because it blended into the blackness of a black hole in the time space continuum. So dark it hinders the ability to accomplish the tasks required to play. That’s with my 12.9 iPad with a 1000 Nits of brightness. I simply can’t get past the beginning of this game on any other device I own because of how dark, literally black in some areas of this game. The other big issue is it is continually locks up my device, where I have to do a hard start to play again. The graphics are fantastic. Sometimes the hints are “late for work”. In other words you get a hint after you have completed the task. Which is kind of pointless. So far I’m finding it very entertaining. This is fairly easy to figure out, just the right mix of not too difficult and not too easy. UPDATE: Four stars have now been deducted, after several days of giving this all I could. The issues mentioned have left me in the dark and hating this game. Bottom line? You purchase it, you own it. I love that concept. One more remark on how dark this game is, it’s beyond being comfortable to see. Go into this knowing that. There is a walk through video on You Tube, if you are stuck, I would not be stuck at any point other than the quests required blend into literally black, when you have to find a place you are required to place one of the instruments, it’s so black there is no differentiation between that device and the back ground. It simply cannot be seen in some areas of this game. I suggest lightening the entire game a few nits. It’s miserable playing in pitch blackness of space. Other than the blackness there is very little ability to control where you wish to go, it just swings wildly and quickly, far, far away from where you intended to be. You have to try over, and over, and over the same movement to get somewhere. I feel I just threw my money in the garbage. Go get The Room. Makes this look like a joke. Pass on this.

It's super restrictive so even when you can clearly see an item, you can't interact with it till they decide. I would recommend The Room series, this just feels like a frustrating waste of time when none of the puzzles or hints make barely any sense. But really it's the interactions that ruin this game for me.

All in all, enjoyable and creative puzzles. More than once I found myself several moves into a puzzle and finally starting to understand mechanics and rules, only to find myself hopelessly down the wrong path with no hope of returning to the starting arrangement. Some puzzles reset for you, and some don’t. I don’t understand why. The only way to restart the puzzle was to restart the entire chapter. Awful.
Most of the puzzles are just hard enough; I relied on a number of hints just to get myself to the right next step, although every so often the hint was so obscure I found myself looking up walkthroughs. There were a few puzzles that I just couldn’t figure out the arbitrary rules; the “Risk” game being the big one that stands out. Your army goes up…or down…depending on…um…some entirely decipherable reason, I’m sure.
As others have said, The Room is the original and the one to beat. But this was a nice diversion. Start with the room if you haven’t already. If you want more, try da Vinci.

First off, all the scenes are very poorly lit making it VERY hard to see many of the very small hidden buttons and latches. Second, there are several moments when you just cannot play through until you wait for all the hints to talk you onto the next step which is generally going back to reinspect a thing you’ve looked over a dozen times but couldn’t interact with until the hint talks you on to it. Most of the puzzles were pretty good but on more than a couple of them you just end up randomly spinning and flipping things until you stumble onto the right combo or position. Lastly, almost every thing you have to interact with is VERY particular about how or where you touch it and at what angle you’re viewing it from - it’s very frustrating. All in all I was really ready for this game to be over by about the halfway mark.

Controls are horrible, have to be in exact spot to get things to actually move 50% of the time. The zoom in and zoom out feature is a joke, camera pans to angles that make any game lay difficult.

Terrible and vague hints bordering on useless at times, the control level while doing puzzles is frustrating because you have to get many of them exactly instead of the piece “clicking” into place, and trying to move items sometimes results in a frustrating movement of the screen repeatedly.
It’s hard to explain, but I wish there were more ‘room’ games and this was a bad purchase

It is impossible to get past the stupid wheel thing in the tower on level 7 and NONE of the walkthroughs are any help. The support people basically told me to get lost when i reached out. Dont buy this game buy the Room series instead bc it’s actually solvable!!!

I got stuck on one part, and the hints were so bad that I couldn’t progress. I ended up deleting the game. This was a waste of 5 dollars.

This game is much too glitchy in it’s current state. Considering this game has been out for many years now, that’s really frustrating and disappointing. Some puzzles require much too fine a moment for the IPad, leaving the experience very frustrating when you know you’re close, but because of the way touch function works it’s too imprecise for the game to allow you to move forward. The puzzles are fun and the visuals enjoyable. The controls severally inhibit this game. Once that’s sorted, the game would be fantastic and worthy of 5 stars.

I wanted to enjoy this game after playing the room games. Game wants to be fun but has too many problems with it. First when playing on my phone the exit button is in the worst spot ever at the top left of the screen where I am constantly hitting it with my hand. So this will back you out of what you are doing. Second when you are trying to do a task when you are spinning something, or trying to hit a switch the game will think you double tapped and back you out of it again. Third some of the areas are so dark you can’t even see a button or something of importance. Finally some of the stuff you need to do they don’t have anything near to look at that would help you figure it out. They give you clues but some of the clues don’t help you at all. I am finding myself with this game compared to other similar games having to look at walkthroughs way to much.

Hints didn’t help. No way to find out how to move forward, no help available.

I have a 12 mini. The text is very small. Also the bottom bar and top bar with time and battery are always visible which detracts a lot from the game play. The game looks good I think but can barley read the text so only played for a minute.

I bought this game several years ago and completed it. I recently began replaying. All was well until the astrolabe. I’ve gone through everything, but the hanging wheel is unable to be reached so I can enter the second set of moon phases. I already did everything on the astrolabe. I am unable to move anything on the astrolabe at all, with or without the lens on. I cannot get the hanging wheel to go back to where I can touch it.

I found the game frustrating and centered on these points
1. I spent more time trying to figure out how to manipulate an object that I knew needed to be extended, rotated, moved, etc rather than solving puzzles.
2. Tapping and clicking on items became so frustrating I finally deleted the game..Im unsure if the click boxes are off or that the click box itself only appears after you tap on a hint, which brings me to the next point
3. Hints are USELESS. Im attempting to manipulate or focus on a puzzle in the game and the hint tells me to focus on the puzzle...SERIOUSLY? Hints should aid you in thinking of HOW to work the puzzle not tell you to examine or work the puzzle.
4. Using the optic device was frustrating I counted 6 times where images would not appear after activating the optic until after I clicked a hint..I was literally focusing on an area and once I clicked the question mark it gave me the burning paper image and suddenly there were the ghost images of the gears.
5. Final issue with the game mechanics, ZOOM..to look into the ONE area that was meant to be manipulated sometimes took 3 zoom sequences and others you would click an area and it would whirl you to a spot you did not wish to look at or zoom rotate the puzzle or literally kick you back to the center of the room..changing mouse and sensitivity did not help this issue.
Over all the game was not a great game, even fixing all the game mechanics wouldnt really have me rate it above a three. The story line was un interesting, the notes left behind did not really strike me as pertinent to how to manipulate any puzzles or even help with the theme of the room much less any plot points. There are much better designed and engaging escape room games out there that cost just as little as this one, I suggest taking those.

I understand people worked very hard on this, but there are bugs in the puzzles and I had to reboot- losing ALL of my accomplishments when finally reaching the last chapter. The glitches make solving some puzzles difficult and confusing.

Scenes are dim light and things are tiny. Waste of money

I would very much enjoy the game if it weren’t for theInterface on the iPad. I assume the game was ported the iPad.There were too many times when fine movement was required, but almost impossible to accomplish until I reviewed a cheat video and saw exactly how to do the movement, even then it frequently took many tries to move forward in the game. Each time I went to the cheat video I was expecting to find out that I missed something, not to find out I just couldn’t accomplish it on the iPad.
Equally frustrating was when all I could do is accomplish fine change with my fingers, but a general was movement was required. What are you trying to move from one place to the next, I could frequently expect to move somewhere that wasn’t my intention. This totally ruined the enjoyment add the game. While it wasn’t very expensive, it wasn’t worth what I paid for it.
