Now you have to take mugshots to access that lame app ? This is crazy. I do not understand its point anymore. What kind of service they offer now? Do they work for the future One World Government by giving them all our personal information, face and profiles pictures ? What is going on there ? I can no longer discover cool videos like we ised to. Very very disappointing and disturbing.
Terrible
You can no longer search for hardly anything without getting a “failed to load” message. If you wait and try again after an hour or two you can search for a few moments before it fails to load again. Also, I am in the USA. They claim that search problems are only for people in EU/UK, but that’s not true.
Don’t download
Used to like this app. Then they fried all their developers… it’s gone down hill since then. Never had an issue with storage before and now it’s saying I’m almost out. Just avoid this app completely.
App crashes after 10 min
App always crashes after 10 min of video playback. I hope they look at crash reports.
Vimeo has fallen
Vimeo used to be great to use. We would use it instead of YouTube when YouTube started getting really strict with copyrights on music, and they would just mute the entire video. Now, the app doesn’t hardly work. Most searches end up coming back with no results. When you finally find a certain channel, it says they have no videos, even though it clearly shows they have videos in the search preview of the channel before you click on it. The app is clunky, and it doesn’t seem like they want you to be able to watch videos without a profile or without paying for some kind of paid membership now. Pretty sad.

WHAT IS UP WITH THE BUFFERING?!?!?!? I’m trying to watch a tutorial and naturally it helps to be able to rewind to catch things you missed. But only if the app you’re using doesn’t CRASH/BUFFER ENDLESSLY every time you hit the back 10 seconds button. If this weren’t the only place the content was available I would not be using Vimeo. It’s not my internet btw. YouTube doesn’t have this issue in the slightest.
No live support
I can’t create an account because apparently my phone number is being used by someone else’s account and all the Help options on the app go round in circles. Phone help? Again an automated menu that takes you round and around in circles with no option for live help… very frustrating..
Broken app
Unable to login. There is no help available. I have paid plan and can only login with Safari. Company and app used to be good but are now aweful!

AirPlay buggy, app crashes often
For months if not years the app continues to crash regularly when using AirPlay. Barely playing more than a few minutes before dropping connection and also randomly crashing. No other app is this broken in AirPlay support. Come on Vimeo you have one job as a video player. Playing videos should just work.

Charged Double, No Refund/Bad Customer Service
I was charged double for two videos I purchased and my issue was never resolved. I emailed Vimeo and responses were slow. In addition, they stopped responding to my email. I never received a refund despite providing evidence that I was charged twice.

Holding creators work hostage
New pricing and basic Robbery of creators on the platform was bad enough now they’re holding hostage creator videos if they don’t pay the ransom. What’s the tea? I don’t know because you have taken the work of my favorite lovely creator on your platform and held the tea hostage. I’m leaving the platform for good. How many others have you done this to.
Sneaky
Do not click on free trial unless you absolutely want to purchase an annual subscription. I thought I had it canceled but they make navigation incredibly difficult. It’s also impossible to get real help. They have an ai gate keeper.
The application is the worst
They never overlook your name or account when they want payment. I’ve tried for years to use this app it starts off seamlessly then the games begins. After four or five years struggling to use this waste of yearly annual subscription never able to resolve uploading my work, or even my library of videos too tired of being robbed from this platform.
Paid for upgrade, never showed in app
Terrible experience. Videos I tried creating kept crashing. Finally received email that my finished video was available to view but it would not open in my app. Could not change music selections.
Got charged during the trial period
I got charged $255 before the end of the trial period. I have been trying to get the charge dismissed for months now and they temporarily credit the money back to my account then charge me again.

…the professional alternative to YouTube. Now their customer service is rude-probably overworked. It trickles down from the top.

I tried to use this to merge videos for my summer intensive audition and it kept kicking me out of the app. I wish I could rate this lower. I must’ve tried more than 100 times and it never worked. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t have premium but it was a waste of storage.

Do NOT TRUST THIS SITE
I don’t know where to begin with how bad this platform is. After using their platform for 4 years and uploading hundreds and hundreds of videos to my Patreon account, they one day (with not a single warning or a single strike on my account) deleted every single one of my videos. Patreon was my livelihood and I depend on it to pay my mortgage etc. I suddenly had a Patreon site that went from having around 1,500 videos to zero overnight. They stole 4 years of my hard work that I can never get back. They also personally reached out to days before deleting my account and convinced me to pay for a year long subscription to their platform at the highest pay level, then deleted my account with zero refund. This is minor compared to the thousands of dollars I’m going to lose this month because I made the HUGE MISTAKE of trusting this site. It should also be noted that even when paying the maximum amount for security my videos were still downloaded and shared on other platforms. They offer zero security and zero respect of content. If you value your content I urge you to look elsewhere. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLATFORM

This iOS app presents videos incorrectly, and ruins the filmmakers’ intent.
I absolutely despise this Vimeo iOS app. Instead of showing black pixels outside the aspect ratio of a video (like any normal video player), this Vimeo app plays a blurry version of films in the unused pixels. In other words, if I made a movie that has a 16:9 aspect ratio, then the extra pixels on the sides of my phone will play a blurry version of my film instead of just showing black pixels. Or if my movie is in 2.39:1, then it will show a blurry version of the movie on the top and bottom. Basically, any video that you play that isn’t the exact aspect ratio of your phone’s screen will be displayed incorrectly. Guys, this is a BIG problem! You’re completely altering the presentation of my work without my consent! I don’t want a blurry version of my film to be playing behind my movie. It’s super distracting and it looks terrible. Any pixels outside of the aspect ratio of my movie should just be BLACK PIXELS. You have no right to change the artistic intent of my movie. Also: WHY ON EARTH is the default setting to play a movie with subtitles??? That should NOT be the default setting. Subtitles should only be enabled if a user decides to SELECT them. I swear, whoever designed this app has deliberately gone out of their way to compromise the presentation of filmmakers’ work. It’s inappropriate. I hate this app now.

Not Impressed
I’m a creator and finally consented to using this app to create my tutorials. It doesn’t work. I even paid for pro. I recorded a 10 minute video. Only 1 and it says it can’t be uploaded that it exceeds my weekly allowance. What? I haven’t even uploaded one video. And it won’t let me password protect it. It says to upgrade, which I did. But, when I click to upgrade it says I’ve already done this. I am so unbelievably frustrated. I have recorded two tutorials and they won’t upload. A waste of my time.

Paid for upgrade never showed on the app
I paid for an upgrade to a pro user account from a basic. I paid for it through the Apple App Store, which shows a subscription will renew in one year but when I go back to the app It still shows I’m in basic. I clicked on restored purchased several times still, I’m in basic. I’ve contacted their customer service through their AI still waiting on a reply. Worst Customer Service experience I’ve ever had with this company. Can I get a refund through Apple if this does not work out?
Not what it used to be!!
I’ve had this app for many years. And just recently, it has been useless. Unable to edit my downloaded videos. Unable to add music. Only able to change the title of the video. Nothing else!
This app is dead
There’s absolutely no support for this app on the iPhone or the Apple TV. If you search anything nothing comes up terrible search engine to begin with nonfunctional joke. This needs to be removed from the App Store immediately and their company needs to be shut down completely asleep at the wheel. It’s really sad. It used to be a good thing.

For some reason all the videos on the web are not found in the app. I thought this would be a seamless experience like it is for YouTube mobile app <> browser. But this Vimeo app is pretty useless.

Vimeo in general stinks, but this app doesn’t work more often than it does.
This app hates blind people. Their support hates blind people.
To be fair, their support may just hate everyone. It seems like they’ve done everything in their power to prevent you from reporting any problems to them. Certainly if you’re using a screen reader like Apple‘s voiceover. It is currently impossible to use the search bar. It seems as it does not read anything within its contents. From what I am able to discern their selection is abhorrent as well. Negative stars are not allowed but certainly warranted. I would like to sue you to get my time back. I hate you forever go away.
Doesn’t work anymore
Literally what the title says search any video you want you’ll get no results. Apparently I’m the only person who uses the app because nobody’s made any reports on down detector.
Unable to open vimeo link in app
My single use case for the Vimeo app would be to click on links in my browser, and open those in the Vimeo app. Alternatively, to be able to directly access a video given that I have a link to it. The Vimeo app does not support this, only providing a search feature, which of course does not work for unlisted videos. Thus, this app does not satisfy any reason I'd have to use it.
