Horrible
I hate this stupid app it always says to update but when you try to nothing shows and not only that, if you think this is a good app for your kids think again it’s not it has bad stuff and brain rot that could mess with your kids brain and show inappropriate stuff so don’t get it it’s horrible and it shows ads to much like no one wants your new top shelf dirty mop it’s just the same as other ones and it always turns off what your watching or your music if you turn off the device and when you don’t want it to do that they try to make you pay premium like excuse me I don’t have to I’m already contributing by using the dang app so maybe just work how your supposed to thanks but no thanks….

this is why i dont use youtube anymore, you cant even watch one video without getting 10 ads
btw i watched only a third of the video it was i think around 15 minutes and i only got through 5 minutes getting 8 ads. So if i had watched the whole video i was looking at around 24 ads, ridiculous.

Terrible playback on reels, the reel will buffer and stop if it replays itself. Also, you can only double tap to like on reels the app chooses? Not sure what happened here. And Youtube still shows you reels you already watched when you are watching a long form video

Annoying ad behavior
I get that ads are a necessity for an unpaid service. But I am so sick of advertisements that pull me out of full screen. It was bad enough when a mid roll ad was playing and would do this. Now it’s even worse where it pulls you out of full screen to show a pop up banner ad to the side at random on top of the mid video ads. It feels like every minute of two I have to kill the ad and reopen the video in fullscreen. The ads are massively hurting the user experience. Whoever signed off on that decision needs to go back to the drawing board.
Flooded with ADs
A few years back, YouTube started to increase the frequency of adds and how long they are across all platforms, but in the past few months it has gotten to the point where it is frustrating. Everyone you pause a huge pop up add, after every add a pop up you have to go through a menu to close, and now on most videos, there is an ad every 3 mins. While trying to study, the adds everywhere, even on the video select and search screens, just becomes frustrating. Furthermore , now the search tab is flooded with YouTube shorts, you can scroll through more than 20 short thumbnails before you can find one long form video.
Whoever’s in charge needs to be fired
It’s like every year they update the app to be worse than it was before

So many ads and retaliation to users who use ad blockers. And AI “features” like filters and auto-dubbing are being used automatically without content creator say so. Very scummy, makes me want to switch platforms.
Can’t move videos in playlist
Yeah now the videos won’t move inside the playlist at all. Fix it.

I have always loved YouTube and love supporting the creators in there. However, the amount of AI and increased adds is ridiculous. The AI tools are SO FRUSTRATING. It interferes with creator’s videos, bad for the environment, and is honestly useless for YouTube platform. Please create an off switch, or better yet, get rid of it completely. If AI usage continues, I will use other platforms and others will follow. YouTube runs on human’s art and ideas, not AI slop.

Please fix the Watch Later page on iOS! It is almost impossible to move videos manually anymore. You have to get lucky and touch it just right and then even if you do, when you let it go the video goes back to the original location in the order half the time!
Way too many ads
Way too many ads and progressively getting worse about it each day. The video will even minimize itself every few minutes to show you ads, and now also puts little pop up ads at the bottom of the screen. You have to watch at least two ads at the start, then every few minutes, then again at the end even though you then have to watch two more at the start of the next video as well. It’s ridiculous. And almost all creators posting also have sponsorships and so it’s a slew of ads. Non stop ads.

An obscene and asinine amount of ads that seem to be getting worse, more plentiful and easier to click with each new version of the app whether it's on iOS, tvOS or web.
Not pleased and there’s no one I can talk too.
I’m on a family plan that has worked wonderfully for half a year until the system said that I’m not in the same home as the primary user. Not true my sister is in the same home as me but she does travel. Ever since that day I have not enjoyed any of the perks of being on the family plan. I removed myself off, just to have my sister add me back on (Not working). I tried deleting the app and adding it back on (not working). I tried just using the YouTube app (Not the YouTube music one) to see if using it will have no issues (did not work). There’s no one to help with this. There’s only the auto system that is not helpful. I need help. Real help.

Too many ads, there’s a small one that you have to close out EVERY time you make your video full screen and it’s so annoying!!!
