Not only do you guys treat your creators horrible but you guys come up with the dumbest features I’ve ever seen on an iPhone or android app please fix the playback feature to where I can stop videos from automatically playing in the background while I am scrolling on the app if I don’t tap on the video or click on the video that means I don’t wanna watch it. It doesn’t mean I wanna automatically watch it in the background I don’t know who thought that was a good idea, but it’s just dumb and I wish I knew how to disable it, but I literally went to help and policies under settings and it told me to go to this playback section and under general and it wasn’t even there so your own instructions didn’t work. Then when I try to look it up on YouTube or Safari, I get videos that are 2 to 4 years old and it didn’t help whatsoever, also charging people $15 a month just to not watch a whole movie worth of ads is just a straight up rip off.
The functionality of this app needs fixed. My algorithm is so bad on YouTube that the minute I search for a video that I wanna watch all I see is topics related to that video every time I refresh the page after the fact. just because I search for something doesn’t mean I want it all in my algorithm. the “new to you” tab needs fixed every time I try to refresh the page when using that tab it automatically takes me back to all videos tab and I wish it didn’t do that.

Frustrating Political Ads
Youtube is an entertaining platform and as per their description is for videos, music and Live streams. Even though such a big corporation tries to have an impact on Armenian political life. The most frustrating part is that i am blocking those channels and reporting them, however the platform ignores it and continues to show the same ads to me.

New scrolling video ads have been added in that take up the entire screen! I’m scrolling videos to see whats new and a video ad starts playing. They used to be static images which were fine but now they are popup ads that you have to close out of. Then you click a video to watch and surprise the traditional ads are there before the video.

Disappointed/Furious
This app went from a simple video streaming site to a full on nonstop ad hub. Consistently blasting ads onto our screen to the point to where we’ll pay more than 20 dollars a month for premium service so you can stop annoying us with nonstop consumerism. Whoever is making the calls for this app should be fired. I speak for all the public when I say we are sick and tired it. Thanks for completely ruining a great thing we’ve enjoyed for many years.

YouTube will interrupt your video every 5min with ads. I've timed it. It's every single 5min.... if there's anyone who knows how to ruin someone's joyful night, it's the execs at YouTube... typical jew behavior...

Stop, I’m literally logged in, and you still say it, you ask log in to verify you’re not a bot, I AM. Incognito is literally unusable, I don’t want to affect what is on my account and I don’t want inappropriate stuff if there is a YouTube link, really.. test your stupid stuff! It’s really annoying. Plus, ITS EVEN ON GUEST! Dude to protect the community.. it’s not even doing anything, bots use accounts and do inappropriate links.. now how do I know to trust a video link or something there is no ways. I’m not removing all my history on my real account. Also, the amount of long ads on tv! It’s so bad on my upstairs tv. I might quit. Commenting this on yt account bc they never read reviews maybe

Please fix Auto-Rotate bug
Hello, I’m using iPhone 17 Pro Max and experiencing a persistent bug. The Youtube app doesn’t auto-rotate videos when the phone is tilted, even though “Portrait Orientation lock” is OFF in iOS settings. I’m forced to manually tap the rotation/landscape icon for every video. Please optimize or fix this bug for the latest iOS version!

Forcing ads to stay
It’s been multiple months now that not only do I have to tediously minimize/exit from just about every video I’m watching just to get rid of ads that clearly are purposely being forced on my screen and won’t allow me to exit or skip unless I do extra steps to restart and close and minimize and close and minimize and now I can’t even select the skip when I do that- unless I completely close the app or video- it forcefully doesn’t allow me to skip the ads while I’m in the middle of watching anything which is complete garbage and for the amount of stuff you guys let slide and dictate what can and can’t be done or posted and for the big corporation company that you are- such a total disappointment and disbelief that you would let stuff like this continue to happen- you should be ashamed of yourselves. Get your app working correctly like it’s supposed to.

Gave up because of ads
It’s too bad because the amount of content is valuable, but the ads are unbearable. The volume of gambling ads and hims ads are mind blowing. It’s like watching infomercials. Nothing like watching a bbc documentary on penguins or the titanic and getting interrupted by a mistplay ad. I’d rather watch the recycling 90s content on Tubi.

What a joke.
Youtube premium was raised to $20/month not too long ago, and i feel the need to express how stupid that is considering not a single soul uses any other perks other than the ad-free experience. If youtube could just create a separate subscription that only gives you the ad-free benefits and downloads that would be amazing, but of course that will probably never happen.
